Black Top Knight, Emery County’s first annual street festival will be held on May 27. The fun begins sharply at 6 p.m. on 100 North in Castle Dale.
Promptly at 6 p.m., buses will arrive and the Feast opens. The Feast is an affordable dinner served in the Royal Court pavilion, and features fresh food from the medieval period prepared in Dutch ovens. The menu is meat, potatoes, carrots, bread, and dessert, and will be an authentic experience eating without utensils.
Activities will include: 3 on 3 basketball, bingo, castle bounce house, catapult-a-ping-pong, climbing wall, cookie coat-of-arms, crossbow challenge, crown yourself, dance dance revolution, goldfish mote, horseless polo, inflatable boxing, Jacob’s ladder, life size checkers, monster truck challenge, peasant’s farm, and pedestal jousting.
The entertaiment planned will consist of: The Court Jester will feature local talent, The Noble Show is a comical theatrical production, The Serfs are strolling minstrels, and The Royal Court will perform during the Feast.
Other activities are a coloring contest, the royal artist, the catapult competition and the pie eating contest.
Then at 9:30 p.m., a free concert featuring Hitch will begin. The street festival will conclude at midnight.
