The Utah Permanent Community Impact Fund Board has approved nearly $1.3 million in grants and loans for local improvement projects in five rural communities in the state.
The board provides be, directly or indirectly impacted by mineral resource development on nearby federal assistance through grants and low-interest loans for the planning, construction, and maintenance of public facilities.
Elmo – $466,210 grant, $200,000 loan for the Emery County community to build a town hall, fire station, and senior center complex. The 30-year loan is interest-free.
