The ShowTime Dancers, under the direction of Donn Jeffs, spent their first week of the summer vacation performing and taking dance workshops in Southern California. They have worked so hard during the past nine months preparing for the trip. They had to first audition to be accepted to perform at the 50th celebration at Disneyland. They participated in dance workshops taught by the Disneyland Dancers, and then the next day they presented a 30 minute performance on the Plaza stage. Also, another wonderful experience for the ShowTime Dancer was the opportunity they had to perform on Memorial Day at Knott’s Berry Farm Amusement Park.
Along with preparing for the trip to Southern California, the ShowTime Dancers competed in a dance competition in Provo in March and received 1st place in the hip hop and tap categories. They also competed in St. George in April and received 1st place in tap, jazz and hip hop. Blayr Jeffs competed in a solo tap routine at the Dixie Jam in St. George and received 1st place.
The ShowTime Dancers appreciate X-TO Company for helping sponsor their trip and also UMWA and all those who helped support the girls by buying pizzas and candy bars.
