Campaign tampering

By By

During the political season, emotions sometimes get the best of good people, and recent events in Orangeville concerning the theft and destruction of campaign signs has prompted Sheriff Lamar Guymon to issue this warning. “It is against the law to steal, remove, tamper with, or destroy campaign signs. If anyone is caught participating in those illegal activities, they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Sheriff Guymon. The unauthorized and intentional removal of a political sign is a class B misdemeanor and those removing signs could be subject to charges.
