Mason Childs
Mason Lowry Childs was born May 11, 1997, to Kimball and Juanita Childs. He was a loving spirit and a special gift to his parents and family. He loved being with his grandma eating cookies, playing with his goat Daisy, drawing and working on crafts. His smile, laughter and endless enthusiasm will always be remembered. Mason and Isabelle (his best friend) had fun packing puppies, cats, and others things into their wagons to get to each others’ house. Mason returned to his Heavenly Father, with both his parents, on Dec. 11, 2005.
Services were held Fri. Dec. 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center. Burial in the Orangeville City Cemtery.
Juanita Childs
Juanita Varela Childs was born July 5, 1959, to Henry and Englantina Barela. She married Kimball on Dec. 13, 1992. Juanita cherished her family and loved entertaining them with her vivacious personality and sense of humor. She taught Spanish at Carbon High School, she loved to teach and cherished her students and they loved her. She enjoyed decorating and photography. Juanita joined her Heavenly Father with her son and husband, on Dec. 11, 2005. She is survived by her brothers Henry Jr. (wife Vikki), Marcelino, Fausto, and Frank; Aunt Pauline; adopted mom Marilyn, brother Bill and grandmother Lorraine; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were held Fri. Dec. 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center. Burial in the Orangeville City Cemtery.
Kimball Childs
Kimball K. Childs was born Aug. 15, 1959, to Parker and Dorothy Childs. He married the love of his life on Dec. 31, 1992. The birth of his son Mason completed his cherished family. Kimball was a humble man with great faith, integrity and a thirst for knowledge. He was eager to be of service to everyone around him. Kimball returned to the presence of his Heavenly Father, with his son and wife, on Dec. 11, 2005. He is survived by his mother Dorothy, brother Allen (wife Colleen), sister Debra (husband Steve), sister Diane (husband Bob), Aunt Virginia, Uncle Fred (wife Barbara), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held Fri. Dec. 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Price LDS Stake Center. Burial in the Orangeville City Cemtery.
Clifford Marchello
SPRING GLEN-Clifford Edward Marchello, age 73, passed away peacefully Dec. 18, 2005 in Ferron. He was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Spring Glen to Richard and Lavinnie Childs Marchello.
Cliff married the love of his life, Sherril Burnside on Oct. 29, 1952 in Kenilworth. They began their life together in Latuda and later moved to Spring glen where they lived together for 46 years.
He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954. He loved to snowmobile, hunt, Dutch oven cook and spend time with his family. Cliff began his career at Liberty Fuel, moved to H and H Supply and later retired from Joy Manufacturing in February of 2003.
Survived by his wife Sherril of 53 years: brothers, Earl and James of Price; son, Dean (Donette) of Spring Glen; daughter, Janice (Kevin) Drolc of Price, Colleen (Keith) Haycock of Kenilworth, JoAnn (Wilfrido) Tapia of Carbonville; 10 loving grandchildren, Amber, Michael, and Trent Marchello, Soleil and Brecquelyn Drolc, Christopher and Keisen Haycock, Brandie (Chris) Armstrong, Shantelle (James) Kenney, Scott Tapia; and great-grandson, Nickolas Edward Kenney.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Scott, Chuck and Gerald; and granddaughter, Erin Nicole Haycock.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joy Manufacturing and the Emery County Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held Dec. 21, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Carbonville LDS Ward, located at 4000 North 2000 West, in Spring Glen. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Tues.day evening from 6-8 p.m. and the church Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment in the Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
Junior G. Huff
EAST CARBON-Junior Gervis Huff, age 87, died Dec. 15, 2005 at his home from complications due to black lung. He was born Sept. 8, 1918 in Clarksville, Ark. to William Houston and Myrtle Morgan Huff. He married Corene Crossno, Feb. 1, 1938 in Clarksville, Ark.
Junior was a former resident of Altus, Ark. where he was a member of the Altus Baptist Church. Served in the US Army during World War II, where he was awarded the purple heart while in Okinawa. He was a member of the DAV.
Junior worked in the coal mines located in Superior, Wyo., the Sunshine Mine in Arkansas, and Horse Canyon and Kaiser Steel mines in Utah. He was a retired member of the UMWA Local #9958.
Junior was a very honest and proud man, who especially took great pride in caring for his garden and mowing his five acre lawn back in Arkansas. He enjoyed reminiscing with his coal mining buddies and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Corene Huff; son, Bo Huff; daughter Carolyn (Chuck) Abeyta, all of East Carbon; sister, Opal Cox, Clarksville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, daughter, Ada Jean Huff; brothers, Clint and John Huff; and sister, Velma Kinman.
Funeral services were held Mon. Dec. 19, 2005 at noon at Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment, Valley View Cemetery, Sunnyside.
Elaine Wilson
Elaine Bunderson Wilson, age 67, of Wellington, passed away Tues. Dec. 13, 2005 of heart failure. Elaine was born to Avon Poulter and Joseph Victor Bunderson in Price on May 25, 1938. She was married to Arvil R. Wilson for 49 wonderful years. Their marriage was solemnized for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
The mother of 10 children, she devoted her life to service. Her first thought was always for others, rather than herself. She enjoyed sharing in the accomplishments of her children, and grandchildren, and was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faithfully serving in many capacities.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Arvil, sisters, Carma Sirrine, and RuthAnn Pehrson, both of Salt Lake City, and a step-sister, Jackie Thayne of Wellington. Also surviving are her children Pamela Wilson of Logan, Sheri (John) Westenskow of Logan, Dan (Tina) Wilson of Parker, Texas, Darlene (Dave) Christensen of Richfield, Diane (Ken) Christensen of Bancroft, Idaho, Brad (Lori) Wilson of Rupert, Idaho, Machele (George) Schade of American Fork, James Wilson of Price; 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death are two children, Michael Ray Wilson and Todd Ray Wilson, her parents, her step-mother Rachel Birch Bunderson, and two step-sisters, Marjorie Thayne and Enid Worley
A viewing was held at Fausett Mortuary on Fri. Dec. 16 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were Sat. Dec. 17 at Noon at the Wellington First/Fourth ward LDS chapel, with a viewing at 11 a.m.
Hazel Milano Snyder
Hazel Milano Snyder, age 82, passed away peacefully, Dec. 19, 2005 in Salt Lake City.
She was born Oct. 25, 1923 to John and Rose Martini Milano in Price.
She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandma, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by the love of her life, soulmate and husband of 54 years, Red Snyder; son, Frank R. (Winnie) Walker, Indiana; daughter, Bette Jo Chavez, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Rex, Tony and Robert Milano; and her special great-granddaughter, Tiffany Rae Kerby.
Funeral Mass, Fri., Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, 210 North Carbon Ave., Price. Vigil Service Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street, Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
