In one of Utah’s daily newspapers an article appeared in their Business Section on Dec. 22, 2005, titled, PacifiCorp CEO to step down. The article went on to point out that Judi Johansen will step down as president and chief executive officer of Portland based PacifiCorp, after PacifiCorp which operates as Utah Power & Light Company here in Utah completes its sale to Mid-American Energy Holdings Co. That is expected sometime in 2006.
Johansen will receive $1.19 million in severance compensation and in addition, Johansen will get $790,000 the amount of her annual salary.
You can bet your bottom dollar, that when Mid-America takes over, they will be first in line at the door of the Utah Public Service Commission which should protect us from these high handed shenanigans, to request a rate increase.
Will they approve Mid-American request for their rate increase, following the same pattern as they have done every year in the past with their Questar pantomime?
