Winter Band Concert

The San Rafael seventh-ninth grade bands perform for family and friends.

San Rafael Junior High School presented a Winter Concert to the delight of family and friends of students in the band.
Director Eldon Carbine the San Rafael Junior High band reacher led the band to play first an eighth and ninth grade percussion ensemble, variations on a rhythmic theme, followed by the combined bands in two musical numbers Anasazi and two Austrian carols.
These were followed by the seventh grade band playing Out of the Winter and A Holly Jolly Christmas. Then the eighth grade band delighted the audience with Frosty the Snowman and Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree.

The combined eighth and ninth grade bands completed the evenings music with Russian Sleigh Ride, An Old English Christmas, and Rudolph in Wonderland.
Instruments used in this presentation were flute, clarinet, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba and percussion.
The audience applauded enthusiastically after each performance.
Director Carbine was assisted by Ben Carroll, Emery High band teacher, and Principle Garth Johnson.
