PacifiCorp/Utah Power officials will host an informational meeting Feb. 23 to discuss a variety of issues that are of interest to residents of Emery and Carbon counties.
The meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. at the Museum of San Rafael, 96 North 100 East, in Castle Dale.
“We recognize that our operations in this area have a significant effect on the local economy,” said Rich Walje, president, Utah Power.
“We thought a town-hall type of meeting would be helpful in giving residents an update on a number of issues that may be of interest,” Walje added.
Items for discussion will include the utility’s planning and process for selecting its next major electric generation project; emission control upgrades at Huntington Plant; power plant water supplies; and general business activities of Utah Power.
