The sixth grade class of John Hughes at Book Cliff Elementary. Hughes’ class won the Book It reading contest sponsored by Pizza Hut.

The Pizza Hut Book It program announced that John Hughes, sixth grade teacher at Book Cliff Elementary in Green River, won the annual classroom contest.
This year’s theme was scrapbooking. The program was to illustrate with pictures and words how his classroom exemplified one of three categories: “practicing random acts of reading”, “good stories… great friends” or “we’re reading maniacs.”
Hughes was one of six teachers across the U.S. who won the award. The classroom will recieve $1,000 is cash for classroom use, a digital camera for the teacher, a $1,000 Amazon gift card for the class library, a selection of Book IT, Program incentive items for each student in the class and a $100 Pizza Hut gift card for a class pizza party.
