Loye Justesen Thompson was born March 29, 1923 in Orangeville in the house she is presently living in. Her parents were R.O. “Bud” and Alice V. Snow Justesen. After graduating from high school she attended Ex-Cel-Cis Beauty School in Salt Lake.
In Oct. 1942 she married Preston Thompson and lived in Ferron for 30 years. She ran a beauty shop out of her home for 37 years. Preston and Loye lived in Fillmore for five and a half years and then moved back to Orangeville in 1984. They have four children; Earl, Justine, Meredith and Leslie, 10 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Some of Loye’s favorite things are being with her kids, church, her six cats and growing flowers.
