Charges filed in murder case

On April 20, the Emery County Attorney David Blackwell alleged that Lanny Hubert Wayman committed the following crime: count one, murder in violation of Utah code annotated, that on or about April 7 or April 8, 2006 the defendant intentionally and knowingly caused the death of another; or intending to cause serious bodily injury to another, committed an act clearly dangerous to human life that caused the death of another; or acting under circumstances evidencing a depraved indifference to human life, engaged in conduct which created a grave risk of death to another and thereby caused the death of another. A first degree felony. Count two: Abuse or desecration of a human body in violation of Utah code annotated as amended, as follows: That on or about April 7 or April 8, 2006 in the state of Utah, the defendant did disturb, move, remove or conceal a dead human body or any part of it. A third degree felony. Information is based on evidence obtained from Capt. Kyle Ekker, Det. Sgt. Robert Blackburn and Sgt. N.S. Vuksinick from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office.
