The Emery High Science Olympiad team recently competed at the tournament held at Weber State University. Competitive events included physics labs, chemistry labs, food science, engineering, electronics, rocks, minerals and many more events. The EHS team took sixth place out of more than 47 schools. Nick Cox and Bret White won cash awards of $100 for their first place finish. Other award winners were Holly Hatch, Justin Oakeson, Billie Jean Reed, McKay Allred, Cade Whittle, Jake Fausett, Cole Bunderson, Tifany Larsen and Tyrail Dye. This year’s team was coached by Brittnie Clarke, with Jessica Hill, Ashlin White and Amy Lofley as assistants.
