Members of the team were Jacie Fasselin, Kaitlin Reaves, Morgan Clark and Keven Jensen.
The Envirothon is a natural resource competition for high school students. Students, over the course of the school year, prepare themselves for this two day outdoor competition.
Teams are tested on their knowledge in five designated study areas: aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife and a current environmental issue.
The current issue changes annually. This year’s current issue was: water stewardship in a changing climate. Students had to prepare information to solve the problem of water management for Box Elder County in the year 2050.
Emery received the gold medal for best placing rookie team, second place FFA team, and fifth place over all divisions.
