Keven Jensen and Colton Grange recently attended the Utah Natural Resources Field School. The field school offers students a background in ecological principles and tools used to measure the health of our rangelands, as well as an understanding of the resource management process. Time is also spent learning and discussing the role of humans in natural resources, with special attention given to the process of resolving conflict. It was an intense week of hands-on outdoor activities, hikes and classroom study.
Keven, the son of Wade and Cassie Jensen of Cleveland, won the top spot and an all expense paid trip to Reno, Nev. to the Society for Range Management Convention where he will compete with students from other states in several categories. Keven was sponsored by the local conservation districts to attend the range camp.
