Riders for Santa ride from the Stewarts parking lot in Castle Dale to the Orangeville park.

It’s that time of year again where the Riders for Santa gather toys to help needy Emery County children. The bikers began their ride at the Stewarts parking lot in Castle Dale. They continued from there to the Orangeville City park where they had hot drinks and doughnuts.
The riders turned the event into a poker ride this year where they gathered cards at each stop and the best poker hand won prizes. They stopped in Ferron at Gilly’s, Emery at Randy’s and concluded their ride in Green River where they had lunch at Ray’s Tavern and drew for prizes at the Green River City park.

Riders for Santa gather toys for needy youth.

All toys gathered will be distributed to local children. Donations can still be made for Riders for Santa at the Desertview Credit Union in Huntington and Ferron. You can donate cash or new toys.
The poker cards were a $20 donation and all proceeds will be donated to the Sub for Santa program. For more information on how to donate contact Annette at 384-2690 or Eric at 286-2225.
