Veteran’s graves in Emery receive a Christmas Wreath from Live Earth.

Ninety four graves in the Emery City Cemetery received their Christmas wreath. These graves are where veterans of the military from Emery are laid to rest. Dave Taylor purchased the live pine bough wreaths and the youth city council located the graves and placed the wreaths on Dec. 12.
McKoy Christiansen, an Emery cub scout, performed a flag ceremony to begin the wreath placement, and served cookies and hot chocolate to the chilled youth council following the placement of the wreaths. Wyatt Payne and Kyle Jones assisted Christiansen with the flag ceremony.

Members of the Emery Youth City Council place the pine wreaths on graves of Emery Veterans.

Members of the Emery Youth City Council who were on hand to participate are: Mandy Malan, Taryn Baker, Naomi Fortner, ShayLee Jensen, Lauren Jones, Charity Sehestedt, Cody Jones, Ethan Mangum, Jesse Malan, Jake Fortner, Dillon Staley, Jaylene Mangum, Scottee Hunsaker, Marilyn Malan, Wendee Hatch, Augusta Beagley, Jessica Seavers, Jake Sehestedt, Rhett Carter, Billy Mangum, Mark Sundstrom and Michael Seavers.
These young people here helped by youth city council leaders: Glenys terud, Mistie Christiansen, James Byars, ShaLane Christiansen, Ross Christiansen, Kris Payne and Lisa Mangum.
