Emery High presents: money, power, murder, lust, revenge and marvelous clothes

The Emery High Drama department participates in a spoof on soap operas. The groom, also known as Dr. Amour Balducci, is Scotty Phillips and Destiny Mink, the bride, is Charlotte Withers.

With just the right blend of drama and humor the Emery High Drama department presented: “Money, Power, Murder, Lust, Revenge and Marvelous Clothes before large audiences at the Emery High Spartan Center Little Theatre.
The story begins with a grundle of reporters trying to get the scoop from Destiny Mink also known as Peggy Drabb. Drabb flashes back to the time she was young and everyone made fun of her because of her almost Pinnochio size nose.
Over the years she dealt with the teasing on account of her nose. She decided the only way to go would be to have plastic surgery to reduce her nose.
The Doctor played by Scotty Phillips does a remarkable job on the surgery and declares that he must marry this marvelous creature he has brought to life. After the surgery, Peggy Drabb immediately renames herself Destiny Mink and begins to break the hearts of men as her heart has been broken in the past.
This marriage leads to the death of the doctor who has a heart condition and one kiss from his beloved bride leaves him dying on the floor.
The Emery High drama department does a wonderful job on this play as the characters are believeable, likeable and hateable as the situation warrants. You sympathize with Peggy Drabb and you love to hate the woman she becomes.
This production was directed by Neal Peacock and Marilee Cox was the musical director, Bryan Ison was the technical director. Other characters included: Charlotte Withers as Destiny Mink, Heidi Scow as Peggy Drabb, Reporters, Derek Jensen, Krystal Justice, Tiffany Greenburg and Buck Healy, Meagan Brown as Clover Carstairs, Trax Decker as Rake Carbuncle, Shalae Cox as Pandora, John Staley as Todd, Felicia Elliot as Mrs. Carbuncle, Ty Thomas as Brewster, Naomi Fortner as the nurse, Jennifer Jorgensen as the gypsy, Zamber Rollins as the Maitre de, Josie Hayward as the minister, Heather Sitarski as the bridesmaid, Levi Swasey as the police officer, Callie Collard as the district attorney, Adrie Cox as the judge and Steven Giles as the airline pilot.
