Canyon View crowns sweetheart

Abbie Kay won best cake, Alisha Royall, second attendant, Krystal Richardson-queen, Kelcy Faimalo, first attendant and Kelby Funk-Miss Congeniality.

Canyon View Junior High held their annual sweetheart pageant on Valentine’s Day. They also auctioned off cakes to raise money for the school. The auctioneer was Curt Collard and his assistants were the escorts for the pageant. Krystal Richardson was named the queen with Kelcy Faimalo as first attendant and Alisha Royall as second attendant. Kelby Funk was named as Miss Congeniality and Abbie Kay’s cake was named as the best receiving first place.
Contestants and their escorts were: Whitney Petersen-Nick Stoddard, Whitney sand I’m Gone for her talent. Alexis Alayne Stokes-Nathan Mecham, Alexis’ talent was a dance. Mackenzi Grange-Chase Sherman Mackenzi danced for her talent. Abbie Kay-Jace Guymon, Abbie did a dance to Jailhouse Rock. D’Lee Gardner-Kraymer Kemple, D’Lee sang the song Witch Doctor. Alisha Royall-Keith Bird, Alisha sang a song. Emily Owens-Jonathon Reynolds, Emily did a piano solo. Taylor Irene Miller-Lane Gardner, Taylor performed a dance. Kelby Funk-Jake Clement. Kelby sang My Red High Heels. Krystal Richardson-Cameron Bell, Krystal performed a dance. Keshia Holmes-Colton Wilcox, Keshia performed a flute solo. Kelcy Faimalo-Damion Gordon, Kelcy played a piano solo.
