Trucks from KFJ Trucking have been acquired by Trimac Transportation. The trucks have the new owners name on the doors.

Trimac Transportation U.S. has acquired the assets of KFJ Trucking. KFJ Trucking has long been a staple in Cleveland and a leader in the coal transportation industry in Emery County. Kerwin Jensen was the long time owner with family members helping out over the years with coal hauling and management.
Trimac expects the acquisition to strengthen their coal hauling line of business and will create significant new growth opportunities for the company.
KFJ Trucking operated 33 trucks and they have 40 sets of trailers. KFJ had revenues over $13 million in 2006. Most of the 58 drivers and office personnel employed by KFJ will become Trimac employees. The acquisition closed on April 2.
Trimac Transportation U.S. operated over 1,100 tractors and more than 2,600 bulk trailers in the transportation of bulk commodities, including chemicals, petroleum, cement, sand, fly ash, lime and dry plastics. Revenue for Trimac’s U.S. operations for 2007 is projected at US $268 million.
Trimac employs 1,819 full and part-time people, including company drivers and independent contractors under lease. Trimac Transportation originally began in 1948 in Moose Jaw, Saskachewan, Canada. Additional information about Trimac Transportation U.S. is available at www.trimac.com.
