Jerry Frasier, comic magician
Millions nationwide are hooked on Jerry’s magic.
With a distinctive voice and electric personality, professional magician, Jerry Frasier will bring his high energy, anything-can-happen comedy to the Emery County Fair Aug. 2-4. A top-notch national performer, Jerry’s magic is guaranteed laugh-out-loud fun. Somebody from the audience could even float on air without the aid of wires, hidden assistants, helium or a fork-lift. Not even Copperfield or Blaine can top that.
“I am excited to meet the folks in Utah this summer. Let’s pack every show,” Jerry exclaimed in a recent interview. “I hope what comes through when I perform is that I absolutely love what I do, making people laugh and giving them an unforgettably magical experience.”
Raised in Wisconsin, Jerry started performing at a very young age. He designed, built and produced his first large-scale illusion show at 16 and now, 27 years later, Jerry has performed in nearly every state in America. After teaching high school English in Philadelphia, Jerry turned full-time entertainer in 1989. A director, motivational speaker, and actor, Jerry currently calls Minneapolis home and performs 200 shows a year.
“Connecting with people is what entertainment is all about. Good magic is good theater,” Jerry says. “People have the time of their lives in the show and have no idea how it happened.”
“My show is completely “in the moment”, improvisational,” he says. “Every audience is different which makes each show unique.”
Jerry says he’s not a performer or comic that “picks on” audience members. “My goal is to never put people on the spot and make them feel uncomfortable. I like to create magical memorable moments that unify all ages, all generations and make people feel good.”
Jerry will perform one show each day and will also do two walk around sets where he will mingle with the fair goers and do tricks among the crowd. Jerry works to create funny situations through magic. When he floats someone he said it works 75 percent of the time and summer is an excellent time for floating. He encourages everyone to come and see his floating trick. He will also perform his strait jacket of death routine if everything goes well.
His is a big visual show and everyone is welcome. He will meet and greet fairgoers as he works his way through the crowd. Jerry said he hasn’t performed in Utah and is looking forward to the opportunity. He is in his 18th year as a full-time performer. Jerry attributes part of his success to his training as a theatrical actor.
Jerry said, “I like to have fun with people, the volunteers on stage are part of the show in a funny way, but I try never to embarass anyone. I love it when people laugh together and have a good time. I want everyone to come out ready to participate in the show. There’s tons of audience participation. This show will create a great memory for the Emery County crowd. The floating person will come from the audience and that’s always fun.”
Frasier says the show will be great, clean fun for the whole family. “I call it interactive comedy magic. Come ready to give your funny bone a work out. I look forward to seeing everybody at the show.”
Jerry’s Magic Workshop DVD will be available for purchase after each performance, teaching how to do cool magic with stuff around your house.
