Car wash fundraiser at Price Chevron next to Burger King in Price on May 12 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Kid’s day fundraiser at Dino-Mine Adventure Park in Price on May 19 from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. There will be a obstacle course jumper, hot dogs, drinks, craft and bake sale. Book Signing Rock Show at CEU
First Annual Castle Country Rock, Fossil, and Mineral Show. Old Mine Maps
The Utah Geological Survey is looking for old abandoned coal mine maps. The maps will only be borrowed for a digital image and then will be return to the owners. For more information go to www.geology.utah.gov.
Retreat for Girls
Retreat for Girls is for girls LDS girls ages 12-15, 11 year olds can come upon request. The program is held at Utah State University on June 25-29. Food Handler’s Classes
Food handler’s classes will be taught on May 17 and June 21 at 4 and 7 p.m. at the SEUDHD office, 25 West Main in Castle Dale. For more information call 381-2252. Miss Cleveland Pageant

Miss Emery Pageant
The Miss Emery scholarship pageant will be held on July 14 at 7 p.m. Contestants must be 17 years of age by Sept. 1 to be in the pageant. Most juniors qualify. A local veterans employment representative visits the Castle Dale DWS Office the first Wednesday of each month. Tip Line for Drug Violations
A tip line has been introduced in Emery County. The Emery County drug task force is requesting help from the residents to report any suspicious drug activity. The number is 381-2888, and all callers will remain anonymous. It is very important for citizens to be actively involved in helping remove drugs users and pushers from Emery County.
Support Group for Parents

CASA Volunteers Needed
Each year hundreds of children in Emery and Carbon counties become wards of the juvenile court system due to child abuse, neglect or abandonment. The child welfare system can only devote so much time and attention to each individual case and, consequently, to each individual child. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Volunteers are ordinary men and women who find it in their hearts and their schedules to help these abused and neglected children.
