Loran Martin Beach


Loran Martin “Marty” Beach passed away in his sleep April 26, 2007. He has reunited with his son Bary Beach, great-grandson Landon Prentice, sister Grace Behling, and loving parents Loran and Ruth Beach.
He will be greatly missed by all of those who loved and knew him.
Daughters: Colyn and Cheri; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and many, many friends.
We love you and you will always be in our hearts.

Evelyn Gordon Morgensen


Evelyn Morgensen, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully May 3, 2007 at the Parkdale Care Center in Price, where she was a resident for more than a year. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She was born to Clive Edgar Gordon and Vera Staker on Feb. 5, 1940 in Price, Utah. She is the oldest of four children.
She married James Laws and had three daughters, Susan, Nancy, and Sherry. She later married Ed Morgensen, who had two sons, Doug and Randy. She then had her fourth daughter, Judy. She raised her four daughters as a single working mom.
She was dedicated to her family and friends. She was always willing to help others. She served in many callings in the LDS church. Her life revolved around her grandchildren. She loved to go to the desert or canyon to roast a hot dog or look for deer.
She is survived by her brothers Earl (Sheila) Gordon and Wayne Gordon, of Huntington, her sister Ileen Harmon, Provo. Her children: Susan (Dennis) Atchley, Harrisonville, Mo.; Nancy (Brent) Livingston, Huntington; Sherry (Brooks) Bradbury, Spring Creek, Nev.; Judy (Rodney) Colby, Huntington; 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Huntington Stake Center on Tues. May 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. There was a viewing Mon. May 7, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price, and there will be a viewing one hour before funeral services at 10 a.m. in Huntington at the Stake Center.
Evelyn will be interred at the Huntington Cemetery.

J. Blaine Tuttle


ORANGEVILLE- J. Blaine Tuttle, 83, passed away April 21, 2007 in Orangeville, Utah. He was born Nov. 27, 1923 in Kenilworth, Utah to Milton Melrose and Essie Mable Guymon Tuttle. He married Geneva Snow in the Salt Lake Temple on Nov. 26, 1943.
Blaine loved the small town atmosphere and was proud of the fact that he spent his entire life in Orangeville. He was an active member of the LDS church serving in many callings. His most cherished calling was serving the people he loves as bishop for 13 years. He worked as a professional truck driver for 30 plus years for Deseret Transportation, during this time he received an award for driving 2.5 million miles accident free. He also enjoyed working hand in hand with his twin brother Bland on their farm. He was proud of his gardening skills. He enjoyed time spent on the back hoe and his association with Cottonwood Creek Irrigation Co.
He is survived by his wife, and children; Richard (Joyce) Tuttle, Medford, Ore.; Janet (Kelly) Jones Longmont, Colo.; Cathy (Kirk) Olsen, Sandy, Utah; Roger, Orangeville, Utah; Cathy Tuttle Hardee (Brent), Castle Dale, Utah; Alan (Danielle), St. Louis, Mo.; and Jennifer, Price, Utah; sister, Gloria (Norman) Patterson, Price; and brother, Bland (Selma) Tuttle, Orangeville; 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roy Dean and Edwin, sons; Lowell and Jeffrey, grandchildren; Tracey Lyn and Katrina.
Funeral services were held Fri., April 27, at the Orangeville LDS Chapel at 11 a.m. A viewing took place Thurs., April 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale and one hour prior to services. Burial took place at the Orangeville City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

SALEM/PRICE- Gloria Jean Cadez Justesen, age 64, passed away May 3, 2007 at home after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born Sept. 13, 1942 in Price, Utah to Stanley Joseph and Chelestina “Chel” Bergera Cadez.
Married Karl Justesen, March 21, 1970 in Orangeville.
Gloria was a longtime resident of Carbon County where she attended Notre Dame Catholic School and graduated from Carbon High School in 1960. She later graduated from Steven’s Henager Business School in Provo. She was a member of SNPJ Lodge # 113 of Price.
Gloria’s warmth and beautiful smile touched the lives of many. Whether it was her stay in Vernal or Salem the past 20 years, she made friends that lasted a lifetime. She was an avid collector of dolls and she loved watching and caring for her hummingbirds.
She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and ice skating. Her greatest love was for family and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her husband, Karl Justesen, Salem; daughter, Stana Justesen, Orange, Calif.; sister, Sherry (Gene) Sulpizio, Murphy, N.C. and many other loving family members and dear friends
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Mass, Mon., May 7, 2007, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price. Vigil service, Sunday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street. Family was at Mitchell’s Sunday and Monday one-half hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
