Little Miss Emery pageant on Saturday

The Little Miss Emery Pageant will be held June 2 at 6 p.m. at Huntington Elementary School auditorium. This event is being used as a fund raiser for Miss Emery Kristine Johansen to attend the Miss Utah competition in June.
The Little Miss chosen at the pageant will accompany Miss Emery to the state competition and serve as her escort for the evening gown category. At the Miss Utah competition the Little Miss will be treated to a tea, and also a luncheon with all the other Miss Utah contestants and the Little Misses from around the state.
There are 11 young ladies from Emery County who are vying for the title of Little Miss. Everyone is encouraged to come out and show support for the young ladies in this endeavor. The cost of admittance is $3 and will help the Miss Emery and the Little Miss with expenses at the state level competition.
Randi Lake
Randi Lake is the 7 year old daughter of Chad and Cassi Lake of Elmo. Randi attends Cleveland Elementary where her favorite subject is math and her favorite school activity is P.E. Randi likes to dance, play softball, and spend time with her friends. Randi’s favorite food is mac and cheese. When she grows up she would like to be a baby doctor.
Randi’s talent will be a tap dance.
Jayla Weston
Jayla Weston is the 7 year old daughter of Christy Weston and James Weston. Jayla lives in Elmo and attends Cleveland Elementary. Her favorite school subject is reading and her favorite school activity is P.E. Jayla enjoys dance and gymnastics and has received some special awards in gymnastics. Jayla’s favorite food is mac and cheese and would love to be a gymnast when she grows up.
For her talent, Jayla will perform a dance.
Afton Grindley
Afton Grindley is the 8 year old daughter of Carl and Sara Grindley of Orangeville. Afton attends Cottonwood Elementary where her favorite school subjects are math and art. At school she also enjoys recess and P.E. Afton has received awards for both dance and math. Afton also enjoys riding horses. Afton’s favorite food is chicken enchiladas. When she grows up she would like to be a veterinarian and a barrel racer.
For her talent, Afton will perform a jazz dance.
Kandice Stevenson
Kandice Stevenson is the 7 year old daughter of Kade and Rebecca Stevenson of Huntington. Kandice attends Huntington Elementary where she enjoys reading and math. Kandice enjoys sharing time with her friends, baseball, dancing, soccer, and helping on the farm. Kandice has received trophies from baseball and soccer, and has been awarded for never missing a day of school. Kandice’s favorite food is fish from Joe’s Valley. When Kandice grows up she would like to visit Africa and attend college so she can be a doctor for babies.
Kandice will perform a karate and kickboxing routine for her talent.
Brittney Ewell
Brittney Ewell is the 7 year old daughter of Jamie and Alvin Ewell of Cleveland. Brittney attends Cleveland Elementary and her favorite subjects are math and writing. Brittney enjoys gymnastics, dancing, and drawing. She has received outstanding tumbler award and was Miss Tiny Tot of Cleveland 2006. When Brittney grows up she would like to go to college and become an artist.
Brittney will perform a dance for her talent.
Litzi Villalba
Litzi Villalba is the 7 year old daughter of Ana Villalba and Antonio Leyva. Litzi lives in Huntington and attends Huntington Elementary. Her favorite school activity is recess; she also enjoys field trips and computers. Litzi enjoys reading, coloring, and riding her scooter. Litzi’s favorite food is also mac and cheese. Litzi would like to be a teacher when she grows up.
Litzi will perform a Mexican dance for her talent.
Laci Hulse
Laci Shyanne Hulse is the 8 year old daughter of Del and Rexanne Hulse of Ferron. Laci attends Ferron Elementary where her favorite subjects are science, math, reading, and P.E. Laci has received some reading awards and some blue-slips at school. Laci enjoys art, exercise and playing. Her favorite food is pizza and she wants to be a mom when she grows up.
Laci will perform a vocal solo for her talent.
Allyson Woolsey
Allyson Woolsey is the 8 year old daughter of Darren and Jeanette Woolsey of Castle Dale. Allyson attends Castle Dale Elementary where her favorite subjects are art and math. Allyson has received the Region award of Excellent 2006 in photography and also the school award of merit 2007 in photography. Allyson enjoys riding bikes, painting, and playing kickball. Allyson’s favorite food is an apple. When Allyson grows up she would like to be a veterinarian because she loves animals.

Tia Hulse
Tia Ashlin Hulse is the 6 year old daughter of Del and Rexanne Hulse of Ferron. Tia attends Ferron Elementary where her favorite subjects are reading and writing her letters. Tia’s favorite food is chowder and she wants to be a mom when she grows up.
For her talent, Tia will perform a vocal solo.
Kelsey Hulse
Kelsey Hulse is the 4 year old daughter of Del and Rexanne Hulse of Ferron. Kelsey attends preschool at Ferron Elementary and enjoys learning shapes and playing with blocks. Kelsey also enjoys riding her bike, going on walks, and taking pictures. Kelsey is another lover of mac and cheese and would like to be a mom and a cheerleader when she grows up.
Kelsey will perform a vocal solo for her talent.
Madison McCandless
Madison McCandless is the 6 year old daughter of Michael and Helen McCandless of Huntington. Madison attends Huntington Elementary and enjoys reading and P.E. Her favorite school activities are the surprise sock and recess. Madison has received the Sunshine Award. Madison enjoys dance, playing outside, riding her bike, and drawing pictures. Her favorite food is manicotti and she would like to become a veterinarian and a mom when she grows up.
For her talent, Madison will perform a song and dance.
