Emery County Relay for Life

By By

Relay for Life is an activity-filled overnight event that allows our community to come together and celebrate those who have beaten cancer, remember those who have lost the battle, and enlist our community in the fight against cancer. Relay raises money for cancer research and funds American Cancer Society programs. The ACS has contributed to almost all major discoveries in cancer research. ACS funded programs discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat cancer.
The Relay for Life event begins with cancer survivors taking the first lap around the track. if you are a cancer survivor please come and let us pay tribute to you. A luminaria Ceremony of Hope is held after dark to honor survivors and remember those who lost their lives to cancer. Luminaria candles line and light the track throughout the night.
Everyone in the community is invited and encouraged to attend. You do not have to be on a team to come enjoy the fun. Plan to join us for a while or stay all night.
You can purchase a ticket for our drawing for $2 and be entered in a drawing to win some great prizes. If you are on a team you will automatically receive one ticket. You may purchase more if you like.
Relay for Life is a family friendly activity. Relay is alcohol-free and tobacco-free. It starts June 29 at 6 p.m. and ends Saturday morning with breakfast at the Emery High School track and football field
