Joan Flora Jensen Huntsman
Joan Flora Jensen Huntsman will celebrate her 80th birthday on Nov 3 at her home in Sandy with friends and family. She was born in Huntington on Nov 5, 1927. She married Jerry Huntsman of Castle Dale on Aug. 9, 1956. They have six children, 19 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Joan has one brother and five sisters.
Joan is one of the most caring, loving, compassionate people on earth, always thinking of others before herself. She loves to garden and share produce with friends and neighbors. For many years she was affectionately known as the ‘sucker lady’ in Sandy, because of her talent of making delicious lollypop suckers. She has spent many years in Church service. One of her favorite places on earth is relaxing at the farm land in Buffalo that her parents left her and caring for her parental home. She also loves spending time at their Sky Haven cabin at Millers Flat and winters in Arizona.
She retired from Deseret Pharmaceutical.
