The Micky Kiver familiy of Vernal golf in the tournament and also sponsor a hole.

Green River boys and girls club held a fund raiser golf tournament to raise funds for their activities and for the Crandall Canyon miners families.
The tournament was a great success said event organizers. There were eight four man teams. Each team was sponsored by individuals or businesses. Two teams from Green River, one from Richfield, Castle Dale, Utah County, Price, Salt Lake, Vernal and one from Grand Junction.
The winning team was Johansen and Tuttle coming in at five under par. Second place honors went to Banasky Insurance and third place was the Bastian family. The longest drive was from the Banasky Insurance team, Mr. Adams; longest putt from the Boys and Girls Club from Utah County-Andy Anderson; and the closest to the hole from the Green River Coffee Co., Ty Mecham.
A very special appreciation to all the sponsors and volunteers and to the Green River Golf Course. Without them this tournament wouldn’t have been possible. A big high five goes out to Gas and Go and Subway for lunch.
The money brought in will be divided between the Crandall Canyon disaster victims families and the Boys and Girls Club.
