Ron Bloomfield
CASTLE DALE- Our loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and longtime friend, Ronald Eugene Bloomfield, age 59, passed away Dec. 10, 2007, at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center from complications of a massive stroke.
He was born Nov. 1, 1948 in Farmington, N.M. to Glen and Nelda Farnsworth Bloomfield.
Married Virginia Alcorcon, Feb. 24, 1985 in the Philippines.
Ron was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served a mission in Los Angeles, Calif. He honorably served his country in the US Army and US Navy and was a member of the National Guard for many years. He was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Deer Creek Local # 1769.
Ron loved watching TV and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
Survived by his wife, Virginia Bloomfield, Castle Dale; two sons and one daughter, Edzel Bloomfield, Salt Lake City, Iris (Matthew) Miller, Troy, Ill., Ammon Ray Bloomfield, serving in the St. Louis Missouri Mission; parents, Glen and Nelda Bloomfield, Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers and three sisters, Cheryl (Greg) O’Neil, Green River, Wyo., Colin (Deonna) Bloomfield, Kirtland, N.M., Dianna (Keith) Stradling, Mesa, Ariz., Raette (Dave) Belcher, Park City, Carlos Bloomfield, Kirtland, N.M.; one granddaughter and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Castle Dale Third LDS Ward. Family received friends at the church Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Castle Dale City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS missionary fund.
David Whiting
SPRINGVILLE/ELMO-David Lawrence Whiting, age 31, was called Home on Dec. 12, 2007, from the results of an industrial accident.
He was born June 19, 1976 in Provo to Melvin Leo and Bessie Lyman Whiting.
Married the love of his life, Layci Norene Jensen, on Oct. 26, 2007 in Payson.
He was an active member of the LDS Church where he served a mission in Sao Palo, Brazil.
He adored his wife, and kids, he loved playing games and making those around him happy. Most recently, David learned to play the piano from his wife, Layci. He enjoyed singing karaoke, playing his tuba, and many outdoor activities.
David enjoyed everything from riding on the “Quad” to shooting and paint balling. He loved playing his computer, X-Box, and writing poetry, most of which he kept in his “backpack.”
All of his talents, love for life, David carried in his heart and will eternally carry as he continues to serve the Lord and those he holds most dear.
David is survived by his wife, Layci; children, Christian, Aspynn, Larry, and their unborn child; mother, Bessie Mae; six brothers and six sisters, Marcel, Rodney, Brent, Mark, Linda, Teri, Mary, Sarah, Melvin, Elizabeth, Rose, Steven; in-laws, Christian Lee (Norene) Jensen; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Kenneth.
Funeral service was Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, 2 p.m., Elmo LDS Ward. Family received friends at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price, Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to service. Interment; Elmo City Cemetery.

Donna Christensen
PRICE- Our loving mother and friend, Donna Rae Easton Christensen, age 76, passed away Dec. 10, 2007 at her home.
She was born Aug. 16, 1931 in Price, Utah to Albert James and Laura Marsing Easton.
Married Cox B. Christensen Feb. 16, 1957 in Price. He died Sept. 29, 1967.
Donna was an active member of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. She was an avid reader. Donna graduated from Carbon High School in 1948. She attended Carbon College from 1948-1949, and later the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Donna loved many things, especially the first snow fall, Blue Spruce christmas trees, and California sunsets. Most of all, she loved her beloved son and husband. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her son, Todd Douglas (Cyndie) Christensen, Orofino, Idaho; two nephews, Kip Cotner, Ferron; Kevin Cotner, Price; three granddaughters; three step-granddaughters; many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lola Mae Easton, Price.
Preceded in death by her husband, Cox B. Christensen; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (Jack) Cotner; brother, Claude Douglas Easton.

Jean Jewkes Christensen
PRICE-Jean Jewkes Christensen, age 89, died Dec. 12, 2007 in Ferron, Utah in the home of her oldest daughter.� She was born Dec. 20, 1917 in Orangeville to Edger and Mary Alzada Anderson Jewkes.� She married Gordon T. Christensen June 9, 1937 in the Manti Temple.
She was active in the LDS Church where she served in the Relief Society and Primary.� She likes to do embroidery work, collect dolls, work in her flower beds and go camping.�
Jean is survived by her daughters Marilyn (Jay) Larsen of Ferron and Linda (Don) Zamora of Alabama, one sister, seven grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great- great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at the Price Fourth Ward LDS Chapel. Friends my call one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Ferron City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Stewart J. Bryan
Stewart J. Bryan, 64, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 in Price, Utah. He was born in Price, Utah on Aug. 16, 1943 to Theodore C. and Elizabeth Jewkes Bryan. He was raised in Kenilworth, Utah.
He was a great baseball player when he was young. He served his country in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Vet. He loved to fish especially with his float tube.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Bryan of Price, brother, Roger (Lori) Bryan of Ivins, Utah, sisters, Janet Barney of Helper and Susan (Kelly) Nielsen of Price, children, Melissa, Stewie, Kimberley and Jody and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Troy Bryan.
The family would like to thank Castle Country Care Center for their special care for Stewart.
There will be no services as per Stewart’s request. Arrangements with Fausett Mortuary.
Richard Beatty
HUNTINGTON-Richard C. Beatty, age 71, passed away Dec. 6, 2007.
He was born Dec. 23, 1935 in Cedar City, Utah to Cecil and Beth Coombs Beatty.

Bud Ray Houskeeper
(Boot Scootin’ In Heaven)
By the time this is read I will be back dancing. I was born among the beauty of Nine Mile Canyon, on April 13, 1943 to Jack and Marie Houskeeper. I died Dec. 12, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I joined the Navy in 1961 and was honorably discharged in 1964. I married Carol Simmons, May 30, 1964 and then later divorced.
My life was fulfilling with many travels and time spent with my wonderful children and grandchildren. The time I spent fishing, dancing, and being with my children were the most genuine treasures that I will keep deep within. The gifts I have shared are trust, honesty, and unconditional love. All who knew me know I lived, loved, and fought hard until the end.
Bud is survived by his children, Michael (Amy) Houskeeper; Karen (Scott) Brown; Jonathan Houskeeper; Deidre (Bill) Axelsen; Dawn (Mike) Miera; Tammy (Wade) Houskeeper; Zachary (Stephanie) Houskeeper; Brittany (Scott) Rudd; and 17 grandchildren
He is preceded in death by Jack Houskeeper.

Michael Hutchinson
CARBONVILLE-Our loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, Michael Burton Hutchinson, age 48, passed away Dec. 13, 2007.
Born Sept. 22, 1959 in Carlsbad, N.M., to Ken and Bonnie Joyce Toothman Hutchinson.
Michael was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt as shown by his elk and moose mounts. He was an avid Nascar fan. He had a soft side for people.
Michael was a member of the Elks Lodge #1550 of Price where he organized the first Castle Country Hay Ride for children.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his parents, Ken (Rita) Hutchinson, Price; two sisters, Charlotte Toothman, Berkley, Calif.; Kay Russo, Amarillo, Texas; brother, Kenny (Char) Hutchinson, Irvine, Calif.; two aunts, Joanne (Claudie) Wiggins, Chow Chila, Calif.; Billie Harper, Carlsbad, N.M.; ex-wife, Theresa Hutchinson; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

ST. GEORGE- Our loving sister, aunt, and friend, Ileen Jensen Loe, age 60, passed away Dec. 14, 2007.
She was born March 8, 1947 in Price to William J. and Lois Gudrun Oviatt Jensen.
