The first baby born to Emery County parents at the Castle Valley hospital in Price arrived on Jan. 5 at 12:17 p.m. She was 6 pounds 9.5 ounces and 19.5 inches long. The baby has been named Kyiree Dawn Escalante. Her proud mom is Tabatha Escalante, 18 and her dad is Rene’ Escalante, 18. The family is from Green River. Baby Kyiree is part of a large family including: grandmother Debra Lemon, uncle Aaron Higby, grandparents Charles Ray Higby, David Lemon, Alicia and Ernesto Escalante.
