Nominations for Days of ’47
Nominations are being accepted for the person who most exemplifies the pioneer legacy of industry and integrity and whose work benefits present and future generations. The categories are as follows: business and enterprise; education, health and humanitarian assistance; historic and creative arts; sportsmanship and athletics; scientific and technology development; and a posthumous legacy award.
Emery County Republican Party
Lincoln Day breakfast Feb. 16 will be held at the Museum of the San Rafael at 8 a.m. Note this is a change from the Senior Citizens Center. Representatives from the Governors office, Attorney General, State Auditor, House District 2, Senate District and other candidates are expected to speak at this breakfast.
St. George Family History EXPO
Dixie Convention Center-1835 Convention Center Drive, St. George on Feb. 8-9 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The theme for this years conference is Pirates of the Pedigree.
Looking for Host Families
Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange is looking for host families in the local area to host a foreign exchange student. These young ambassadors are between 15 and 18 years of age and all speak English. Student’s profiles will start arriving for students from various countries. Community Representatives Needed
Academic Foundation for Intenational Cultural Exchange is looking for community representatives to assist in finding host families and work with the students and their families during the school year. Huntington Stake Adult Dinner
Huntington Stake will hold their Stake Adult Valentine Dinner on Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Stake Center. A short program and dance will follow the dinner. Sunday dress.
Financial Aid Night
Emery High School will be holding a financial aid night for seniors and their parents on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m.in the high school cafeteria.
Emery County Gun Club
Draw for team league starts Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. Shoot 25 rounds from the 16 yard line and 25 rounds from the 22 yard line $14 per shoot, $8 to club, $6 to purse. Purse paid out each week. Participants name wil be put on a playing card and then the cards will be shuffled and squads will be drawn at random. Must be present at 7 p.m. for drawing of teams. Jan. 19 games at dark; Feb. 2 games at dark; Feb. 8 draw league at dark; Feb. 16 games at dark; Feb. 22 draw league at 7 p.m.; March 1 games at dark; March 7 draw league at 7 p.m.; March 15 games at dark; March 21 draw league at 7 p.m.; March 29 games at dark.

Rangeland Monitoring Workshop
