Jake Lee Fuller
CLAWSON – Jake Lee Fuller, age 27, died March 11, 2008. He was born Nov. 10, 1980 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Jake loved being in the mountains; hunting, fishing, or just enjoying the scenery. He was a great friend to all who knew him. He was caring, compassionate and he loved to make you laugh. He was always there when needed and was willing to help in any situation.
Jake enjoyed messing around with his nieces and nephews by throwing a ball, wrestling, or just tickling them. He cherished every moment spent with his daughter. She was the most precious gift any one could have given him. She was the true love of his life. Jake married Brandy Huntington on July 21, 2001 they had a beautiful daughter together, Makynlee Nikole Fuller, on March 14, 2003, they later divorced. He married Tara Leamaster on Jan. 14, 2008. He was a loving father, brother, husband, son, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend.
Jake joined the Utah National Guard on Feb. 23, 2007, he served in the 1451 Alpha Company 3rd Platoon, 3rd Squad.
Jake will be truly missed by his daughter, Makynlee Fuller; wife, Tara Fuller; stepson, Anthony Bouldin; parents, Mae and Allen Sorensen, David and Roxana Fuller, and Daryl Spradley. Brothers and sisters, Brandy Fuller, Dale and McCall Fuller, Jackie and Kasey Jensen, Nathan Ryder, Michelle Ryder, Julie Fuller, Clint and Amie Sorensen, and David Sorensen. Nieces and nephews, Micah and Kortney Turner, Autumn Jensen, Jordon and Deryk Fuller, Jonny, Jake, Austin, and Treyson Jensen, Wayne and Savanna Sorensen, and Riley and Nicole Christensen. Aunts and uncles, Jeneane and Chuck Warren, Billy Evridge, Ray and Tami Evridge, Jerry Fuller, Jack Fuller, Carl Fuller, Joyce McNelley, and John Fuller. Grandparents, “Papa” John Evridge and “Mema” Colleen Evridge, Hazel Fuller and the late Jack Fuller; and many other cousins and close friends.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at noon at Fausett Mortuary (720 North Center) in Castle Dale, Utah. A viewing was held Monday, March 17, 2008 from 5-7 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Castle Dale City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
Tony Kosmack
HELPER-Anton Joseph Kosmack, age 75, passed away March 11, 2008 at Castleview Hospital.
He was born Feb. 18, 1933 in Grand Junction, Colo. to Anton Paul and Anna Sodja Kosmack.
Married Mary Lee Tamllos, April 11, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nev.; later divorced
Tony enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy A. Jensen, Helper; son, Tony S. Kosmack, Price; brother, Johnny Kosmack, Helper; and a grandson, Derek Scott Majors.
Maggie Bell Beal Hansen
February 5, 1915 ~ March 12, 2008
EMERY�Maggie Bell Beal Hansen, age 93, died on March 12, 2008 in Price, Utah. She was born on Feb. 5, 1915 in Emery, Utah to Edgar Alonzo Beal and Jennie Luelle Keele. She married Nels Abelin Hansen on Jan. 3, 1933 in Emery, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Sept. 11, 1936. Nels died on April 27, 2000.
Maggie was an excellent homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She loved needlework, crocheting, and making dolls. Her home was full of her many beautiful dolls. She loved the outdoors, especially the mountains where she enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Maggie was an extraordinarily spiritual woman and lived a life filled with service. She was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many church callings. She found so much joy and satisfaction in serving and helping others. Maggie had a way about her to make people smile, and she was truly an example to all of us for the phrase “Enduring to the End”.
She is survived by her children: Maurine (Dennis) Tuttle of Orangeville and Gary Hansen of Emery; 11 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Neal Thomas of Highland, Calif.; three sisters-in-law: Barbara Young of Orem, Alice Beal of American Fork, and Florene Hansen of Salt Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Jennie Lee Thomas; daughter-in-law, Loy Hansen; four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Emery LDS Ward Chapel, Emery, Utah. A viewing was held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment was in the Emery City Cemetery. Services in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
Max Littlejohn
Price- Our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and dear friend, Max Littlejohn, passed away peacefully March 16, 2008 at Castleview Hospital following a courageous battle with black lung disease.
He was born in Sunnyside, Utah on Oct. 11, 1918 the son of John and Bethia MacGregor Littlejohn.
He was educated in Carbon County schools and graduated from Carbon High School.
He married his sweetheart Dorotha Leonard April 4, 1937 at the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City.
He proudly served his country during World War II, and was a life member and charter member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion. Member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Honorary member Price Elks Lodge #1550.
He retired from U.S. Fuel in Hiawatha after 45 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Union Local #6363.
In his leisure time he enjoyed tap dancing, performing in operettas, singing, dancing the polka, camping, fishing, traveling and a good bourbon and coke, and he shared all this with his sweetheart for 69 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Pat Colosimo, Price; Jone (Mike) Orphanakis, Salt Lake City.; sister, Betty White, Grantsville, Utah; brother-in-law, Don Leonard, East Carbon; sister-in-law, Evelyn Littlejohn, Boulder, Colo.; and his extended and loved family at the Beehive Homes.
Also survived by five granddaughters, Sidnee Krajnc, Kelli Nielsen, Patti O Niel, Stephanie Hovey and Michele Ward, and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers and one sister, two great grandsons, and son-in-law Lou Colosimo.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Vigil Service, Wednesday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell’s. Family will be at Mitchell’s Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to service. Committal service Price City Cemetery.
Annie Nielsen
SPRING GLEN-Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and longtime friend, Annie Mismash Nielsen, age 93, passed away March 14, 2008 in Price.
She was born June 28, 1914 in Midvale, Utah to Frank and Frances Jersin Mismash.
Married William Poppleton Nielsen, Sept. 13, 1932 in Spring Canyon, Utah.
Annie was a longtime resident of Carbon County and to most of her family and friends she was affectionately known as “Aunt Annie”. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and doing needlework.
Annie and Bill had many fond memories of living in the coal camps and attending many Canyon Day Reunions in the Helper Park where they would reminisce with friends.
When Bill retired they spent time with the Carbon County Seniors on trips in the US and Canada. Bill and Annie shared 71 loving years together before Bill passed away on Jan. 3, 2004.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Heirloom Inn for the loving care they gave Annie.
She is survived by one daughter and two sons, Frances (LaMar) Hussey, Price, William P. (Carol) Nielsen Jr., Tempe, Ariz., Lee R. Nielsen, Salt Lake City; sister, Helen Tomsick, Pueblo, Colo.; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Frank and Fred Mismash; sister, Rose Godnick; and a great-grandson, Seth Hussey.
Funeral service, Wednesday, March 19, 2008, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery.
Jarvis Begay
COLUMBIA-Jarvis Tom Begay, age 56, passed away March 12, 2008 at his home.
He was born July 25, 1951 in Provo, Utah to Dale Thomas and Betty Chapoose Begay.
Married Arlene Gale, later divorced.
Jarvis was a graduate of East Carbon High School and later attended the College of Eastern Utah. He was employed with UPS for many years where he was a valued employee and a friend to all.
Jarvis enjoyed watching sports, playing tennis and basketball, and he was an avid JAZZ fan. His greatest love was riding his mountain bike and he traveled the county extensively on his bike. He was a man of few words, but he had a heart of gold.

Jean Dorny Bell
ST. GEORGE – Jean Dorny Bell, age 79, died March 11, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on May 18, 1928 to Otto Dorny and Emilie Mendritzki Dorny in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is preceded in death by her husband John L. Bell.
Funeral service were held Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South ) in Price, Utah. A viewing was held from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
Lucy Brown
HUNTINGTON, Utah-Lucy Brown, 95, returned to her Heavenly Father March 11, 2008. Born June 5, 1912, in Ignacio, Colo. to Blas Salazar and Selina Mestas, she learned to work hard at an early age and continued to work throughout her long life. She married Julian Lucero Nov. 11, 1929; he later died. She married Clifton Brown March 25, 1949 (solemnized in the Manti Temple Jan. 31, 1964) and lived and worked in Huntington, Utah for most of her remaining years.
She was a hard worker and enjoyed working outside on the farm; always having a large garden and sharing with her friends and neighbors. If you ever came to visit Lucy, you always had to have something to eat, even if you were already stuffed. She loved working with the missionaries, and always took care of them by feeding them at her home or taking them out to eat. She assisted the missionaries by translating for them when they taught the Spanish-speaking people of Huntington.
Lucy is known as a quilter by her family and friends, and many people have her handiwork in their homes. We will always be warmed by her efforts.
Lucy is survived by her brother, John (Flora) Salazar, Ignacio, Colo.; daughter Joyce (Kerry) Morton, West Jordan, Utah; step-daughter, Darlene (DaVoy) Acerson, Riverton, Utah; grandchildren, Michael (Rennie) Acerson, Kristine (Brent) Burge, Jennifer (Brian) Christensen, Jason (Chelsy) Morton, and Ken Morton. Seven great-grandchildren, Ciera, Wyatt, and Kylee Acerson; Ashlee, Erika and Braden Burge; Caleb Christensen; with two more expected in 2008. Preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary St. Clair, Adonais, Joe, Flavio Salazar and Celia Rivera; husband, Cliff.
Funeral services were held at the Huntington Stake Center, 240 North Main Street, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2008. A viewing was held at the Fausett Mortuary, 710 North Center Street, in Castle Dale, Utah from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 14 and prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 p.m. March 15 at the Huntington Stake Center. Interment was in the Huntington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
