Summer Cheer Classes


Summer Cheer Classes will begin in June. The first session will be held June 2-30 and the second session will begin July 7-30 at LaRae’s Dance Studio and Gym. Classes are for 5-18 years of age. Students will be working on tumbling, cheer skills, and stunting. Junior high and high school cheerleaders are also welcome to attend classes. Emery High Football Summer Weights


The summer weight program for Emery High football players will begin June 9. It will be every Mon- Wed and Friday at 7 a.m. in the weight room at EHS. To culminate the program, the team will attend a camp at Millard High School beginning July 17. This is for grades nine-12. Fall practice starts Aug. 4.

Heritage Days Rodeo Concessions


Huntington Heritage Days will be accepting bids for the rodeo concessions June 27-28. Concessions will include the concession building as well as the Coke wagon comparable on the chute side of the arena. Minimum bid wills start at $250. Send bids to Tory Killian, Box 1248, Huntington, UT 84528.

Miss Huntington Heritage Days Pageant


Huntington Heritage Days is looking for contests for the Miss Huntington Heritage Days Pageant. Huntington and Lawrence girls ages 6-24 are encouraged to participate. Heritage Days Food Vendors

Heritage Days Parade


Huntington Heritage Days parade would like to have your float in our parade. The cash prize for the best float is $100. Parade entry forms are available at Wards 4×4 or Huntington City Hall. For more information contact Rose at 687-2864.

Hunter Safety Class


A hunter safety class will be held June 2-5 at the Emery County Recreation Center. Class will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. each day. There is no age or class limit. You must pre-register by May 29. Participants will be required to obtain a voucher at a licensed vendor for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources prior to registering for the class. Orangeville Days June 6-7


June 6 8:30 p.m. movie night in the park (free). June 7, 6:30 a.m. fun run meet at Community Center $5 registration fee, 7 a.m. flag raising at the park, 7-9 a.m. breakfast in the park $2 per plate, 10 a.m. parade (participants needed, contact Kevin Reynolds), 11 a.m.-3 p.m. concessions, races, slides, games, softball game (contact Carole Larsen), horse shoes, and water games, 1 p.m. guitar hero $2.50 registration fee, at the Community Center, 5:30 p.m. Humphrey Brothers Lamb Fry $5 for 9 years and up, $3 for 8 years and under, fireworks at dusk at the ball complex on Mill Dam Road.

Women in the Outdoors “Flockers”


Bear Creek Campground July 11-12. All ladies 14 and up are welcome to our third annual event. Pre-registration required. Outdoor workshops including archery, fly fishing, crafts, dutch oven cooking, GPS, canoeing, outdoor survival, mountain man, herb gardening, game calling, concealed weapons permit, and much more. Participation fee includes meals, four workshops, membership to the National Wild Turkey Federation, one year subscription to NWTF’s Women In The Outdoors magazine, camping, and tons of fun. This is a non-competitive event. Relay for Life/Memory Wall
