Rachel Peterson, age 13, daughter of Shaun and Elaine Peterson of Springville, formerly of Huntington, has sung her way into the third show of a six-show series and needs your votes to carry on in the competition.
Peterson competed at the USA World Showcase Talent Competition on May 24 in Las Vegas at the Hilton Hotel. She won first place there in the Young Teen Division and has continued on past the second round and into the third.
The winner will be selected by the public through a six-show elimination. You can vote by logging onto www.usaworldshowcase.com
Show three voting will start on July 27 through July 30.
Peterson has been singing since she was four years old. She started singing at recitals and since has performed at restaurants, nursing homes, benefit concerts. local studios, on FM100, at the Art City Talent Festival, Springville Museum of Art, in local singing competitions, on one of Collin Raye’s Christmas Concerts and for family and friends.
She recently started writing her own songs and would like to have her own album complete soon.
