HELPER- Karlo E. Kuru, age 71 passed away Sept. 26, 2008 at his home in Helper. He was born Nov. 13, 1936 in Standardville, Utah to Matt and Emma Estcher Hapasalo Kuru.
Karlo graduated from Carbon High School where he was part of the music program. He was gifted at playing the accordion especially polka music.
He honorably served his country in the US Army.
Karlo is survived by his nieces and nephews, Rick (Charlotte) Davis, Price; Tamara (Lee) Johnson, Sheridan, Wyo.; Aimee Kuru, Avon Lake, Ohio; Carla Kuru, Miami, Fla.; Brian Kuru, Columbus, Ohio; David (Danette) Kuru, Hurdle Mills, N.C. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Matt Kuru Jr.; and sister, Ailie Davis.
His family would like to express a special thank you to his friends.
Karlo will be remembered with a family memorial, there will be no service.
