Preston Dee Wilson, age 47, Tremonton, Utah, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 6, 2008 as a result of a heart attack. He was born Oct. 7, 1960 in Price, Utah to Bryce J Wilson and Ruby Luane Esplin.
He married Patricia Lynn Petersen June 16, 1978. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 16, 1979.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a dedicated provider. He had a quick sense of humor and a love for others that drew people to him. He loved the gospel with all his heart and it was evident in his life.
From his early youth, he faithfully served in many church callings, and was a member of the High Council in the Tremonton South Stake at the time of his parting.
He enjoyed hunting with his sons, boating, fishing, four-wheeling with his grandchildren and raising guppies, chickens, sheep and calves. He loved life and lived it to the fullest but he loved nothing more than spending time with Patti, the love of his life and eternal companion.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; parents Bryce and Luane; mother-in-law Dora Petersen formerly of Ferron; children Tricia (Clint) Payne, Tremonton, Utah; Courtney (Jill) Wilson, Mt. Pleasant, Utah; Nicholas (Shayna) Wilson, Nibley, Utah; Mallorie (TaRell) McMurdie, Tremonton, Utah; brothers Layne, Evan, Joel, Chris and sister Elise; and grandchildren Josh, Emma, Brady, Olivia, Aiden, KateLyn, and Molly. Preceded in death by George Petersen of Ferron.
His optimism and quiet confidence will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Tremonton South Stake Center. Friends and family called Friday Oct. 10, 2008 from 6-8 pm and again Saturday Oct. 11, 2008 from 9:30-10:30 a.m., both at the Tremonton South Stake Center. Interment in the Riverview Cemetery in Tremonton. Services under the care of Rasmussen Mortuary.
