GRAND JUNCTION, COLO./PRICE,UTAH-Cherie Jeanine Gilligan Hillabrant, age 80, passed away Dec. 8, 2008 in Salt Lake City.
She was born Sept. 26, 1928 in Sunnyside, Utah to Willard George and Laurel Duke Gilligan.
Jeanine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a graduate of Carbon High School and Carbon College School of Nursing. She resided in Grand Junction for many years where she enjoyed working as a nurse.
Her life was dedicated to her family and providing service to others. She was always willing to go the extra mile and her kind, generous deeds will always be remembered. Jeanine enjoyed reading and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her son and daughter, Steven Hillabrant, Salt Lake City, Laurel (Bryan) Matsuda, Flagstaff, Ariz.; grandson, Jacob Ballard, Flagstaff, Ariz.; beloved sisters, Maxine Aubert, Shirley (Gary) Bent, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, Richard (Barbara) Nichols, Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lois Passic; and brother, Morris Gilligan.
Funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, 11 a.m., Price Fifth LDS Ward, 545 East 400 North in Price, Utah. Family was at the church Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price.
