PRICE-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved teacher, Coella Kay Jones Houser, age 61, was called home Dec. 31, 2008 in Price after a lifelong battle with multiple health problems.
She was born Feb. 8, 1947 in Dragerton, Utah to Howard Thomas and Lucille Mildred Jewell Jones.
Married William “Terry” Houser, Nov. 22, 1975 in Price, Utah.
Coella was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a dedicated teacher and was dearly loved and respected by the children she taught. Coella began her teaching career in Ogden, and later returned to Carbon County where she taught at Peterson Elementary in Sunnyside and Sally Mauro in Helper. Coella was always concerned about the welfare of others and she always put everyone before herself.
She loved to dance, ride motorcycles, four wheelers, and go on rides with her family. Coella leaves behind many, but her legacy will live on through her students. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her granddaughter KateLynn who she loved to play with.
