CLAWSON-Dareen Clement died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Jan. 1, 2009. Dareen was born Jan. 3, 1925, in Fairview, Utah, to Henry and Marinda Brady. She married Don Raph Clement Feb. 1, 1949, and was later sealed in the Logan Temple.
Dareen was a registered nurse for more than 50 years. She was a director of nursing several times at different hospitals and taught nursing at CEU. She put in many years of leadership service in the Relief Society as well as years of Family History extracting. She was an accomplished organic gardener, good dancer, great cook, and life-long learner and dreamer. She loved her family dearly and spent many hours camping, talking, and just spending time with them.
Dareen is survived by her husband, Don; six children: Trudie (Jay) Waddoups of Clawson, Utah, Mitzi (Craig) Nyborg of Ibapah, Utah, Myra Shelley of Brookings, Ore., Matthew (Sherry) Clement of Woodland Hills, Utah, Benjamin (Collette) Clement of Elmo, Utah, and Tawna (Trent) Burton of Taylorsville, Utah; a sister, Marelle (Grant) Sanderson of Tooele, Utah; 36 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Darrel Brady, Wayne Brady, and Glen Brady; and two sisters: Vesta Walker and LaVee Fowles.
Funeral services were held Sat, Jan. 3, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the Bluehills Ward Chapel in Ferron (35 West 200 North). There was a viewing Saturday at 10 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment was in the Fairview City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
