HELPER-Our loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and dear friend, Jolene “Jo” Hendersen Coon, age 60, passed away Jan. 3, 2009 in Salt Lake City after a series of health problems. She was born July 2, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russell and Dorothy Andersen Hendersen.
Married David Wayne Coon Nov. 15, 1968 in Salt Lake City.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jo was a longtime resident of Carbon County where she enjoyed owning and operating antique shops in East Price, while her husband operated Plumbing by Dave. She loved her vacations at Lake Powell, antiquing, golfing, spending time with her granddaughters, and Friday night cocktails with friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jo is survived by her loving husband David Wayne Coon, Helper; sons, Travis Wayne (Tracy) Coon, Helper, Brandon David Coon, Kearns; granddaughters, Tiffany Lea and Tennysen Lea Coon, both of Helper; brother, Ray (Jane) Addison, South Jordan, sister, Sue (Cliff) Hansen, West Valley; sister-in-law, Joanne Addison, West Valley; step-mother, Joyce Trevillian, California; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Jo was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Addison; father, Russell Hendersen; and brother, Charles “Park” Addison.
Graveside service, Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, 12 noon, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Family was at Mitchell Funeral Home Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily.
