Power Wheelchairs Available
The Senior Wheels USA Program makes available power wheelchairs to senior citizens and the permanently disabled at no cost to the recipient, if they qualify. The power wheelchairs are provided to those who can no longer walk safely, nor self propel a manual wheelchair and who meet the additional guidelines of the program. Lincoln Day Breakfast
The annual Republican Lincoln Day breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. on Feb. 7, at Barn’s Grill. There will be special guests from the State Republican Party speaking as well as good food. Tickets can be purchased at the door.Sen. Bob Bennett will be one of the guest speakers.
Campground Host Wanted
The Emery County Recreation Special Service District is taking bids for a campground host at Bear Creek Campground. The host will perform various duties and will work under the direction of the Emery County Recreation director. The contract will begin April 5 and end Oct. 15. A bid packet may be picked up at the Emery County Recreation office at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale. All bids must be turned into Emery County Recreation by March 6 at 5 p.m.
Vendors Wanted
The Emery County Fair is now accepting applications for food and general vendors for the Emery County Fair which will be held on Aug. 6-8. To be an exclusive food vendor, you must have your application into the Emery County Recreation office at 75 South 400 East, Castle Dale, by March 20. An application may be picked up at the office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 1:30-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or go to the website www.emerycounty.com/fair/vendor. Master Gardener Classes
Utah State University Extension will present a series of 10 master gardener classes which will run from Jan. 29 through April 2. Classes will rotate between Castle Dale and Price. Topics will include irrigation, soils, fertilizer, plant diseases, insects, weeds, and pruning. Cost is $50 for one year of classes, or $80 for two years (20 classes). Valentine Carnival
The 14th annual Huntington Elementary PTA Valentine Carnival will be held on Feb. 13 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Huntington Elementary gym. Tickets will be 10 for $1. There will be food, games and fun. There will be a craft sale and bake sale. Games will include: fish pond, cake walk, RJ the Clown, football toss, coin toss, pop game, face painting, treasure hunt and much more. Everyone welcome.
OHV Land Use Rally at State Capitol
The OHV Land Use Rally will be held at the Utah State Capitol on Feb. 6, between 12 noon and 1 p.m. The time is subject to change so watch for updates as the time gets closer. Orangeville Rabies and License Clinics
Orangeville rabies and license clinic will be held Feb. 21 at the fire station from 10 a.m. to noon. All dogs need to be licensed in the city, house dogs and outside dogs. The deadline for licensing is March 1.

Huntington City Dog Licenses
The Huntington City 2009 dog licenses are now due. Proof of current rabies vaccination must be presented before license can be issued. Deadline for dog licenses is March 1. Dog licenses may be purchased at the Huntington City Hall or at the rabies clinic which will be held at the Huntington City Fire Station on the following date: Feb. 21: 10 a.m.-noon (Glen Jensen DVM).
