PRICE: Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Mildred Lucille Tilton Jones, age 86 passed away Jan. 31, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Ogden, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born Oct. 30, 1922 in Goldsboro, N.C. to Mildred Dixon and Willy Ford Tilton, but lived most of her life in Huntington and Price, Utah.
She was a very loving woman who loved everyone and was loved by everyone that knew her. She will be dearly missed. She married B Lucian Jones in Bennetsville, S.C. in 1941, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt lake Temple one year later. He truly was her soul mate.
Lucille is survived by her husband, B Lucian Jones of Price; three children: Stewart B (Sharon) Jones of Helper, Karlene (Dale) Linford of Ogden, and Kristie Motte of Price; one special son-in-law; George Motte of Price; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; one brother; Adrian Tilton of Coldsboro, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first-born, Dwayne Lee Jones; one grandson, Ron Phillip Ceal; three sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at the Price Second Ward LDS Chapel, (449 North 100 East). A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 at Fausett Mortuary (680 East 100 South) Price, and Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow at the Huntington City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
