Huntington Elementary hosted its annual History Fair recently. Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students are encouraged to participate. Entries were displayed in the gymnasium and were judged by several high school students. A historical figure was chosen by the students, and they completed research on this person. The student then built their display depicting what they had learned and why this person is of historical prominence.
The winners are: Fourth grade-firstplace, Jaylynn Cowley; second place, Jeremy Roberts; and third place, Jacey Shiew. Fifth grade-first place, Travis Fehlberg; second place, Kamrie Simmons; and tied for third place, Koralynn Lanier and Jaylee Hilliard. Sixth grade-first place, Chaselee Ewell; second place, Matt Mecham; and third place, Laryssa Guymon.
