PRICE- Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, Delfino Santistevan, age 82 passed away peacefully Feb. 27, 2009 in Price.
He was born March 8, 1926 in Monte Vista, Colo. to John and Mary Lucero Santistevan.
Married Pauline Labato Aug. 19, 1944 in Taos, N.M.
Del was a member of the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Price. He enjoyed working on machinery, and in his garage. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Del was willing to help anyone especially the homeless. He enjoyed working and spending time in his garden. Del was a retired member of the United Mine Workers of America Local #8622. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his loving wife, Pauline Santistevan, Price; children, Rudy Santistevan, Helper; Yolanda Mae Santistevan, West Valley; Johnny Santistevan, Mississippi; brother, Ferman Santistevan, Monte Vista, Colo.; sister, Viola (Richard) Archuletta, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers.
Funeral Mass, Friday, March 6, 2009, 11:30 a.m. Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Thursday evening 7 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home. Family was at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday one hour prior to service. Committal, Price City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily.
