Letter to the editor: On global warming

By JOHN L. ANDERSON Salt Lake City

Editor,
Seventy five years ago a man named Adolf Hitler said “If you told a big enough lie and told it often enough, the world would believe you.”
In my opinion that is what global warming is a giant hoax. Several years ago, I saw an article in Readers Digest that compared temperatures for the last 50 years. The net result was the earth’s temperature had risen only one half of one degree.
I remember the year 2000 when Al Gore and Bill Clinton were in New York City and made the prediction that New York City would be under six inches of water from global warming and melting ice from the glaciers in six years. Panic, panic for global warming.
Nine years have come and gone and where is the flood we were promised in New York City? It is just as big a hoax as the whole global warming theory.
