The San Rafael Lady Bulldogs finished their season as the tourney champs as well as the regular season champs. The tournament was held at Mont Harmon and saw the Lady Bulldogs defeat Helper first for a spot in the championship game.
The final score showed San Rafael ahead 55-46. They led at times by as much as 20 points. The team was inspired by the play of two eighth grade players who refused to back down when the Mont Harmon Lady Pirates tried to get close. Jeridi Price and Blayr Jeffs led the team in scoring with Price scoring 30 points in the championship game and Jeffs with 17 points in the game.
Other players contributing to the winning effort included: Teigan Adams with two points; Marqui Moss with two points; Hailie Rogers with two points; Hailey Cloward; and Shandee Jewkes with two points.
The team managers are: Whitney Withers, Britnee Murdoch and Savannah Woolsey. The championship team was coached by Kirk Robinson and Jarett Gilbert.
