Douglas Boyd Wright passed away April 1, 2009 at his home in Clawson, Utah, a few blocks from where he was born June 20, 1934. He was 74 years old.
Doug was a BYU graduate, taught school for many years at San Rafael Junior High in Ferron, Utah, and for a time was managing editor for the Emery County Progress. He loved spending time at the Manti Temple, talking about family history, and writing.
Survived by: brother Lynn (Jean), St. George; sisters Mavis Whittle (Kearns) and Joan (Jeremy) Borrett, Millville; children: Kent (Juanita), Price; Darla Lamb, Eden; Lance (Evelyn), Ferron; Nathan (Peggy), Sandy; Eric, Garden Grove, Calif.; Jana (Glenn) McGettigan, West Valley City; Andrew (Dee), Salt Lake City; William (Bonnie), West Jordan; Spencer (Anne), Draper; Joshua, West Jordan; and 23 grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: wife Carolyn Knudsen; brothers Ray, Keith, and Lyle; sisters Ramona and Margie; and parents Andrew and Bessie.
Funeral services were held in the Blue Hills Ward chapel Ferron, Utah, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Ferron City Cemetery. Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
