HELPER-Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Elizabeth Jackson Ciochetto, age 95 passed away peacefully April 2, 2009 in Price.
She was born March 4, 1914 in Ophir, Utah to Charles and Ellen Hall Jackson.
Married Pete Ciochetto Aug. 5, 1939 in Price. He died March 29, 1998.
Elizabeth enjoyed cooking and feeding all her guests and visitors. She was a wonderful cook with the ability to take simple ingredients and turn them into a delicious meal. She loved animals and always showed kindness and compassion for homeless and injured animals. She was a joy to be around and always had a bright smile and warm hug for everyone she met. Elizabeth showed much selfless devotion to her family throughout her life always going above and beyond her duties as wife, mother, and grandmother to ensure her family’s happiness and health. She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile.
Survived by her son, Jeff Ciochetto, Helper; granddaughter, Bridgette (Stephane) Dupont, Castle Rock, Colo.; great grandchildren, Dylan, Jake, Emily Dupont, Castle Rock, Colo.; several nieces, nephews and a community of friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Pete; parents; brother, Jack Jackson; sisters, Olga Goodcell; Ruth Laramie; and several close friends.
Funeral Service, Monday, April 6, 2009, 11 a.m. Mitchell Funeral Home.
Family will be at Mitchell’s one hour prior to service. Committal Service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest contributions to the Humane Society 500 South Carbon Avenue, Price, Utah 84501, or the Shriner’s Hospital, Fairfax Road at Virginia Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
