PRICE/PROVO-Kim G. Curtis journeyed onto meet his Higher Power face to face, Saturday, April 4, 2009 following a heroic fight with cancer.
He was born July 5, 1951 in Price, Utah to George and Marjorie Jewkes Curtis. He married Terri Andreini in 1970. Kim loved his son Ty and family, Vonda, granddaughter Hope, and grandson Noah.
Kim loved helping people, animals, the outdoors, riding his Harley and spending time cooking and gardening. He was a great leader and radiated unconditional love.
Kim graduated from Carbon High School in 1969. He received his Bachelors in Psychology from Utah State University in 2001, and earned his Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix on March 24, 2009.
As a licensed therapist at Cirque Lodge in Orem, Utah, Kim was highly revered by both residents and staff. Kim was passionate about helping others overcome addictions and had been clean and sober for 17 years.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Curtis, Price; his loving son, Ty Curtis and family, Albuquerque, N.M.; sister, Dana Pizzuto, Price; his brothers, Craig (Pam) Curtis, Murray, Mitch (Debbie) Curtis, Price; three nieces, Amanda, Ailese and Lacey Curtis; three nephews, Konan and Kalib Curtis, and Phil Torres. He was preceded in death by his father, George Curtis; grandparents, Joe and Stella Curtis, Rolla and Ruth Jewkes; and niece, Wendy Ryan.
Kim was loved and cared for by the wonderful staff at Parkdale Care and Rehabilitation Center in Price during his last days. The family would like to extend a special thank you for their kindness and the excellent care they gave him!
Memorial service, Thursday, April 9, 2009, 2 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services.
As Kim would always say: “Love Ya, Bye”.
