In Cheddar Field in Castle Dale, the signal was given for a horde, closely watched by parents, of children ages 1-10 to race onto fields with scattered plastic eggs and candy.
The Castle Dale Youth City Council sponsored and supervised the Easter Egg Hunt event. Mayor Neal Peacock and other council members handed out prizes at the end of the hunt for Easter Eggs.
The weather made hunting eggs interesting as the wind would some times blow the eggs across the field in front of a child. Just as the child reached for the egg it would move away a few feet.
