The Manti-La Sal National Forest is still seeking applicants to serve on its Resource Advisory Committee. Unfortunately some potential applicants are having trouble obtaining the application forms and information online.
All National Forest web sites are currently down and undergoing repairs. Applications are available at any Manti-La Sal National Forest Office and at Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan and Sanpete county commission offices. Those who prefer a digital application may contact Rosann Fillmore at 435-636-3525.
Completed application forms must be received at the Manti-La Sal National Forest, ATTN: Pam Brown, 599 West Price River Drive, Price Utah 84501, before 5 p.m., May 1. The form must contain an original signature.
The RAC will work with the Forest Service to recommend proposed land management projects on or adjacent to the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The RAC will only be making recommendations regarding land projects.
Members must be Utah residents, preferably living in Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan, and Sanpete counties. They are expected to serve four years.
Meetings are held at least once during the year. Special attention will be given to those who have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with others of different viewpoints.
