PRICE-On May 14, 2009 the Colacito girls and their mother lost their only brother and son, Anthony Dee Colacito, age 43, who passed away peacefully at Castleview Hospital in Price.
He was born Dec. 20, 1965 in Price, Utah to Daniel and Joyce Colby Colacito.
Tony was an member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School. Tony was larger than life to his family, and he always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. He never saw obstacles in life, he just found different ways of getting around them.
When Tony turned 18 he got a job and moved into his own apartment in Price where lived until a couple months ago. Everyone always looked forward to their first car, but for Tony his came a little later in life. His had four wheels, red in color, and it gave him the freedom to go where ever he wanted to.
Family and friends meant everything to him, and his scooter allowed him to travel and visit with everyone. His endeavors may have seemed impossible to many, but for Tony it was just another day and his rewards were the friendships he made along the way.
Tony will be dearly missed by all, and his family would like to thank everyone for their special care and concern they shared with him.
He is survived by his mother, Joyce Colacito, Price; sisters, Angelina (Ricky) Cook, Grand Junction, Colo., Annette (Moses) Vigil, Price, Darlene (Doug) Massman, Price, Virginia Peay, Watford, City, N.D., Dana Christensen, Salt Lake City; nieces and nephews, Frankie and David Gurule, Jeff and Brian Vigil, Justin (Angel) Vigil, Neil (Sabrina) Vigil, Kirk, Jason, Ryan, Hailey, Maddison, and Daniel Christensen, Brad, Ashley and Josh Peay.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents.
Funeral service, Tuesday, May 19, 2009, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home.
Family was at Mitchell’s Monday evening from 7-8 p.m., and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home daily. Interment, Price City Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home.
